Artist's Comments IF YOU'VE READ THE BOOK ALREADY, DON'T SPOIL, PLEASE! Hey! Today's my sister  birthday!!!  and this is my lovely gift for her!!! They are Julian Carax and Penelope Aldaya, the main characters in the background story of the worldwide bestseller La sombra del viento (The shadow of the wind) by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. They must be the unluckiest young lovers since Romeo and Juliet. We both TOTALLY LOVE this book to death. It's extremely good, intriguing, touching, near... and just because of that lovely Julian Carax, you must love the story, as well as Julian. Since we did read it, my sister has been asking me to draw Julian and Penelope... I've been always a little afraid of drawing them... don't know why, but well, I thought it would be a great gift for her birthday  Espero que te guste, sister, bueno, fijo que si xD esta hecho con muchisisimo cariño y me ha encantado dibujarlos... ya sabes que era algo que me hacía respeto, pero ahi están, tal como yo los veo  FELICIDADES!!!!  note: don't worry about those weird wolf-toothed angels... they're just creatures of the even weirder Julian Carax's imagination xD Julian Carax and Penelope Aldaya © Carlos Ruiz Zafon La sombra del viento © Carlos Ruiz Zafon Art © Nessa Brush for the dress: [link] |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
